Manly Carpark Booth 2020

Northern Beaches Council asked me to create an artwork that would wrap around an old toll booth at the entrance of a council car park located in Manly. I saw this as an opportunity to bring a hit of colour to an otherwise bleak, grey and aesthetically oppressive public environment. My idea to incorporate large scale Kangaroo characters with my signature pastel colour palette and boomerang shapes brought the space to life and provides warmth for commuters entering and exiting the car park.
